WELCOME to Lewis Circle Boer Goats. Our farm is located in
Dover, Tennessee and we reside in a little community known as Pot
Neck. We entered the Boer Goat industry after visiting our
good friends Bob and Sandra Haley. They were raising Red
Boer Goats and asked us to come by and see their goats.
After one visit and some extensive reading, the goat bug hit and
we have been raising Traditional Boer goats since that time.
We are entering our third year of production. Our initial
stock came from Janice and Roger Nodine. We started with two
good breeding does and one month later added another doe and our
foundation sire. He is a son of the great EGGSpletive
Deleted. Our daughter entered him in the local 4-H show and
he was awarded Reserve Grand Champion at 4 months of age. He
was the talk of the show and we all had a great time at the show.
The next year we decided to enter the National Show. We
thought we had great goats and what better way than to learn.
The National Show was in Louisville, KY which is about 4 hours
from Dover. We took our entire herd at the time which was
about seven goats and learned a tremendous amount of knowledge.
We learned how to get a goat ready for show and to do it earlier
than two days before you are showing. Everyone was very
friendly and helpful to the greenhorns from Pot Neck. We
continued to show that summer and I learned more about the
standards and what was a show goat. Since that time we have
been breeding and striving to improve the quality of our herd.
We have a closed, disease free herd. Raising goats has been and
continues to be a rewarding experience. It is a lot of hard
work but we enjoy it as a family activity. Feel free to come
by and visit. Please sign our guest book.
